Designing a Bold Identity to Reflect the Future of Crypto

New Era of U.S. Crypto Innovation
Project Overview
For the fifth annual Cornell Blockchain Conference, and my second year on the design team, we set out to evolve the visual identity to reflect a new era of U.S. innovation in Crypto. Our challenge was to capture the current state of Web3 and Crypto, where institutional adoption is becoming a reality. We then had to translate that into a cohesive visual identity across social media, sponsorship outreach, and printed assets.
Our Approach
We were inspired by the Industrial Revolution, a moment in American history when everything was being built from the ground up, just like the crypto space today. We pulled visual cues from old photographs of steel beams being lifted, building the iconic New York City skyline. That shaped our dark color palette, with bold pops of yellow to represent momentum. The sleek and modern typography completes the look.
